Spring Day in Gymnasium Ceska Lipa

We started talking about the portal of Spring Day in advance on 17th March when we celebrated St. Patrick´s Day. And today? Students spent a great time trying to find answers for the questions which they got from the English teacher. They were based on the section Explore Europe. Those, who finished all the questions, could play some games about the EU. They really liked the game with the FLAGS and the game about the euro hunt. Some students have written into the section Together in Europe about serious topics such as equality between men and women and education for all the children in the world. We had a chat with our Danish school. It was for the first time and the children were very active during the chat. We also sent several lines into the longest poem about PEACE during February and we have read this poem. We finished the first day of Spring Day celebrations by listening to The Ode of Joy and explaining the motto of The EU, United in Diversity. Our Greek friend Eleni Kostopoulou from Kavasila High school has sent to our weblog some very important articles about VIRTUE, equality between races and about the most important day in Greece 25th March The independence Day. During other days between 21st March and 9th May we are going to do some more activities, such as an interview with an unknown hero, and Despina Ganidou with our friends from Thessaloniki are coming to visit us for a few days in April. We are going to be very busy.
